Sponsored by CHILIS and developed by the Collaborative Summer Library Program, the NH Summer Reading Program takes place in public libraries around the state. Children, teens and adults can sign up for the reading program at their local library.
Summer reading programs encourage families to enjoy recreational reading and to discover library resources. The theme of the 2017 NH Summer Reading Program is Build a Better World, so libraries will be offering free programming on a variety of topics that fit the theme.
As a sponsor of the NH Summer Reading Program, the Boston Bruins will be giving away prizes to children and teens registered in the program. All NH libraries will receive free posters featuring Bruins player Brad Marchand. Bruins players have helped libraries develop Favorite Books of the Boston Bruins, a recommended reading list that also includes librarian picks for the best hockey books.
