Please join us on October 18th, 2018 at the The Oaks Grandview Ballroom in Somersworth, NH for our annual CLNH Fall conference. As usual, we will conduct our business meeting, have raffles, food and drinks, and plenty of time for connecting with our colleagues.
We have a full day of science and space related presentations planned, leading up to the Kids, Books, & the Arts showcase of performers! The NH Astronomical Society and McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center will present options for space themed programming and the resources they can offer, and Cindy Randall and Sarah Post from Cornerstones of Science will present on where you can find the science tools, partners, activities, training and ways you can engage your patrons to help prepare you for the upcoming summer reading program “A Universe of Stories.” Finally, the KBA showcase will close out the conference. Raffle tickets will be sold throughout the day for prize baskets of wonderful goodies for your library! Winning tickets can only be redeemed by staying to the end of the conference. A KBA grant winner will be announced for those libraries that filled out an evaluation form about this year’s summer reading program.
Just to remind everyone, this year the CLNH Executive Board voted to move the KBA showcase to the Fall Conference instead of the Spring Conference to allow more time to schedule performers and plan for upcoming summer reading programs. The video showcase this past Spring was part of the transition to this format.
